Summer is the perfect time to let serenity shine. Here, the editors of Well Defined tried out the following products and give their recommendations.

OTO CBD Sleep Drops ($102)

I’m a restless sleeper, so I was thrilled to try out these CBD drops that worked quickly, were effective in keeping me asleep, and allowed me to wake up alert. In fact, they offer a no-grogginess guarantee. I also liked the minty flavor, which was refreshing as sometimes CBD products can taste a bit earthy. The drops are also infused with soothing lavender, calming butterfly pea flower, and fresh field mint. The product is also long lasting—the 15ml bottle lasts 30 days, delivering 50 mg of pure CBD with each use, which is the research-recommended amount to impact sleep. Plus, the drops are 100 percent naturally derived, vegan friendly, and cruelty-free.

SpaRitual Fragrance Free Body Oil ($20)

Formulated with healing ingredients including sunflower oil and rice bran extract, this massage oil protects and moisturizes skin. A deeply moisturizing massage oil for body, hands, and feet, it relieves aching muscles and helps protect the skin barrier to improve the appearance and condition of the skin, while the fragrance-free aspect of the oil is suited for all skin types and aromatic preferences. For the ultimate shower experience, use the brand’s Dry Brush and Body Polish pre-application.

Kiss My Face De-Stress ($5.99-$14.99)

Kiss My Face De-Stress ($5.99-$14.99)

Kiss My Face, a natural product company, has launched a new bath and body line designed to soothe the skin and delight the senses. Like all Kiss My Face products, these are botanically based and free of harsh chemicals and other harmful ingredients, which made me feel comfortable using them on my kids. But they also feature adaptogenic plants and herbs known for their ability to help relieve stress, and they smell great. The line includes De-Stress 2-in-1 Body Wash and Bath Soak, which comes in soothing Lavender + Ylang Ylang or Cedarwood + Bergamot; De-Stress Hand and Body Lotion, which comes in fragrance free Olive + Aloe or relaxing Lavender + Ylang Ylang; De-Stress Bar Soap, which is available in uplifting Orange + Grapefruit and calming Neroli + Gardenia, while De-Stress Body Butter, which features the same core ingredient as the bar soap, as well as ylang ylang oils bring a relaxing aura to the mix and promote restful sleep.

Higher Dose Chill Chews ($39)

School is out at my house, and it turns out, with all of my kids’ sports, activities, camps, and more, summer is turning out to be more stressful than the school year. So, these magnesium-infused chews came at the perfect time. According to Higher Dose, magnesium is nature's chill pill. Daily stressors deplete the body’s magnesium supply, and these magnesium gummies rebalance and relax the body while also calming the mind. The chews combine magnesium citrate with an adaptogenic mushroom blend and ashwagandha, giving the gummies a uniquely targeted blend of supplements to help ease stress and anxiety. Plus, they are effective both day and night, providing wakeful relaxation during the day and a calming way to nod off.

LightStim for Pain ($249)

Over my years of attending spa industry trade shows, I’ve always been attracted to the LightStim LED Bed and have even enjoyed a few sessions on the show floor to give me a mid-event boost. I think the bed is ideal for spas and wellness centers, however, it’s a little bit out of my price range. As such, I was happy to test out the LightStim for Pain, a handheld device that soothes muscles, aches, and joint pain with different wavelengths of light, including deep infrared, infrared, deep red, and light red. For deeper pain, I use it for about 30 minutes on the achy area, but it’s effective in as few as five minutes. My mom, an avid tennis player, has quite a few chronic sore spots from the game, so she also uses it and has found it to be a great solution for sore muscles and arthritis, as well.
