The Hôtel Royal (Neuvecelle, France) recently debut Evian Spa, the brand’s only location in Europe. This exclusive 5,500-square-foot, six-treatment-room facility is inspired by the miraculous water cycle found in nature.

The Evian Spa concept is based on the water cycle present in nature. Four main dimensions form the cornerstone of the customer experience:

  • Celestial birth: the birth of water from the clouds, rain and snow.
  • Mineral infiltration: the natural infiltration of water into the mountains.
  • Precious reserves: water remains underground for 15 years to obtain its balanced composition.
  • Vitalizing spring: the place where the water bursts forth.

These four dimensions are the backbone of the concept and are found in the sensory environment, the treatments on offer, the architecture and design.

With six individual treatment rooms and two rooms for couple’s massages, every detail echoes the never-changing cycle of water. The treatment rooms feature nature views, both through the windows and the grandiose photographs of the Alpine landscape. Guests are guaranteed an immersive experience in a soothing, enveloping atmosphere in harmony with nature.

On their arrival, they are welcomed into an arched sanctuary with a film retracing the journey of water. A sensory world in which nature, sounds, and the elements are omnipresent, beckoning guests to let go, even before the wellness ritual begins.

The communal wet areas are an integral part of the experience. From the outdoor hydro-circuit to the snow room, from the cold pool to the traditional sauna and steam room, and from the indoor pool to the aqua bar, water is everywhere. Even beyond the walls of the spa with the view of Lake Geneva. The 47-acre grounds add to the renewed feeling of wellbeing.

“We entrusted the design of our wellness space to Patrick Saussay, development manager for the Evian Spa brand,” says François Dussart, deputy CEO of the Evian Resort. “The concept is aligned with Hôtel Royal tradition, which in addition to its pioneering role in European spa history – approaches wellness as a whole, mirroring what our teams have been striving to convey to our clients for over a hundred years.”

The Evian Spa concept came into being in 2012. Today, it can be found at five iconic destinations around the world.
