Updated Spa Features Holistic Experiences for the Mind, Body and Skin

The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, nestled on a pristine barrier island of unspoiled coastal beauty, has just debuted its new 25,000-square-foot Spa and Wellness Center, featuring entirely redesigned spaces along with new fitness and wellness programming. 

The new Spa and Wellness Center will be a hub for holistic wellness, encompassing fitness, yoga and meditation, mindfulness, relaxation, and more. In addition to signature spa treatments and a variety of classes, the spa will also offer meaningful, personalized wellness journeys and dedicated wellness retreats, designed to empower, encourage, and foster physical and emotional resilience, based around optimizing mindfulness, physicality, and skin health. Whether seeking the relief of a full-body treatment, the bonding moment of a couples’ spa experience, hydrotherapy or facials to refresh the skin, or spiritual exploration through advanced rejuvenating therapies, the spa’s experts are present to guide each guest through their customized wellness journey. 

“Seeing an uptick in our guests’ desire for holistic wellness experiences while staying on property, we made the decision to completely revamp our spa and wellness center with expanded wellness spaces, new signature spa treatments, and a roster of new fitness classes and other programming,” says Gary Virden, director of spa and recreation. “Our tailor-made wellness journeys and experiences were carefully curated to best optimize our guests’ wellbeing, and we know our guests will leave the property feeling refreshed and energized.”

The spa will offer exclusive treatments based on the three categories of Mind, Body and Skin, with new signature spa treatments including the following:

  • Awakening Bamboo Massage (Mind): An uplifting free-flowing bamboo massage to alleviate tension, leaving the body energized and the mind calm. 
  • Red Light Therapy (Body): Full-body system that uses low-level laser technology to combat the root cause of cellular aging and inflammation. Relieves muscle tension and joint pain, enhances energy and overall wellness. 
  • Body Fortifying Massage (Body): A deep muscle massage using hot stones and a fortifying oil that targets muscular pain and restores comfort 
  • Natural Resilience Facial (Skin): A specialized facial that takes a complete approach to skin health using cutting edge pre- and probiotic technology combined with the same benefits of physical exercise to detoxify, invigorate, sculpt, and relax. The treatment uses powerful age-defying techniques inspired by the Japanese Kobido massage, along with cool and smooth jade rollers, that facilitate lymphatic drainage and leave the skin firm, lifted, and radiant. 
  • HydraFacial (Skin): Resurfacing, nonintrusive procedure that uses LED light therapy and HydraFacial MD technology to clean, exfoliate, extract, and hydrate.
