What does wellness mean to you?

For me, wellness is awareness. It’s tuning into what’s happening inside my body and living with balance. It’s not about perfection or restriction, but flow. I love my daily workouts and meditations just as much as my brownies and mezcalitas. It’s the dance between discipline and pleasure that keeps me alive.

The body feels everything before the mind can make sense of it. When we learn to listen, it becomes our own medicine. That’s where science meets soul—understanding energy, emotion, and awareness as one living system.

What are your favorite things to do to maintain your personal wellbeing?

Movement and stillness: both are essential for me. I work out almost every day; it clears my mind and keeps my energy flowing. I meditate every morning, do regular breathwork, journal often, and ground myself in nature whenever I can. But my wellbeing also comes from joy – good food, laughter, having fun, and being surrounded by people who make me feel at home.

What is your greatest wellness achievement?

My greatest achievement has been learning to reconnect with myself after a life-changing accident. It forced me to slow down and truly listen to my body, my breath, and what life was trying to tell me.

Through breathwork, meditation, and rituals, I rebuilt my connection to myself from the inside out. These practices didn’t just help me heal physically; they completely shifted how I live. I stopped chasing balance as something to achieve and started experiencing it as something to feel. That experience became the foundation of how I live, and later, it became the inspiration behind Fuego.

What person in wellness do you most admire and why?

I admire anyone who walks their talk. People who live authentically and show up as they are. I’m inspired by those who keep it real and aren’t afraid to say, “I don’t have it all figured out.” That kind of honesty and openness is rare and powerful.

What is the best piece of wellness advice you have ever received and from whom?

To focus on bioharmony over biohacking. We spend so much time trying to optimize, fix, and upgrade ourselves, but true wellbeing comes from harmony, not control. When we align with our natural rhythm instead of fighting it, the body, mind, and soul work together effortlessly. I’ve learned over the years that this is where true alignment and balance begin.

What is your idea of balanced healthy happiness?

Feeling aligned. When your body feels good, your mind is clear, your heart is open, and your energy flows. It’s not a constant state; it shifts every day. But when everything feels connected, even for a moment, that’s happiness.

What do you think is the most overused word or words in wellness?

Hack. Wellness was never meant to be hacked. It’s meant to be felt. True wellbeing comes from connection and alignment, not quick fixes or performance metrics.

Do you have a secret health or wellness tip you would like to share?

Breathe. It sounds too simple, but it’s the truth. A few deep breaths can shift your mood, focus, and entire energy. It’s the quickest reset we have, and it’s accessible anytime.
When we slow down our breath, we regulate the nervous system, calm stress responses, and bring the body back into balance. It’s a tool you can use anytime, anywhere. It’s one of the most powerful ways to return to yourself.

What aspect of your wellbeing do you struggle with the most, or would most like to improve?

Slowing down. During my studies at London Business School, three different business coaches told me to slow down. and I clearly didn’t understand what they meant until my life-changing accident. Suddenly, it all made sense. Now that I’ve launched Fuego, it’s a challenge again. My mind is always creating, connecting ideas, imagining what’s next. I love movement and momentum, but I’ve learned that stillness is just as powerful. Rest isn’t a pause in life, it’s where clarity, creativity, and real energy are born.

What brings you joy?

Connection—with myself, the people I love, and those I meet along the way. I love deep conversations that are real, vulnerable, and honest. I find joy in simple things: my morning run, a Barry’s class, a painful Lagree session, or being surrounded by people whose values align with mine. And in those rare moments of absolute presence—when nothing else exists but the now and the person in front of me—that’s pure joy. It sounds simple, but it’s still one of the hardest things to truly master.
