Marisa started her career in this industry at age 19. After three short years, her abilities, attitude, and fortitude catapulted her to management and on to heading up the skincare division for a large professional beauty brand distributor. She was instrumental in the division seeing turnover tripled in two years and doubled again, after another two years. 

This experience was the catalyst that led her to launch her first solely owned venture, The Spa Consultants, answering a need in the market for a turnkey consultancy to drive spa projects from the ground up. Today, they have successfully managed over 60 contracts in this space. 

The next venture to be added to the portfolio was naturally brand development. Marisa formulated her own skincare (SIX Skincare) and bodycare (Spalicious) ranges, using only the best ingredients and  recyclable packaging, offering value for money and very importantly, product education. A testament to her endeavoring spirit, the brands continue to grow with the addition of powerful aesthetic components to ensure her retail partners continue to offer cutting edge technology under the SIX Skincare umbrella. These include Collagen Induction, Plasma Wave, Deep Skin Peels, HydraGlow therapy, RF Needling, and Ice Diode Laser.

The onset of a global pandemic did not deter Marisa. This drove her to launch an online retail platform (Send me That) for spa’s and salons. Offering a full drop-ship service for their clients and a way to remain profitable during lockdown. 

Marisa’s latest project, Spa Professionals Guild, is a global online platform for ongoing business coaching and transformational management courses. The platform offers networking, bi-monthly group coaching sessions, templates, spreadsheets, and systems of best practices that have been perfected over the last 20 years to help business owners run profitable and sustainable businesses and offer therapists an opportunity for growth, increased income, and to be considered for promotion. Since launching in July 2020, it has attracted members from 19 different countries and growing weekly.
