Coquillade Provence

Coquillade Provence (Gargas, France) has introduced Coquillade Vitalité, an immersive three-day retreat rooted in the slow pulse of the region and designed to awaken the body’s innate capacity for healing and renewal. The first retreat will take place from October 12-15, 2025.

Curated by Frédérique Verley, celebrated former beauty and wellness editor-in-chief at Vogue France, and guided by holistic practitioner Charlène Muscat of Hertz & Feel, this new program reimagines wellness through the lens of Provençal living. Joining them is Coquillade spa director Cécile Gaillard, a true daughter of the region—born among the lavender fields and the daughter of a local grower. A graduate of a prestigious hotel school, Gaillard began her career in hospitality before embracing her passion for nature and wellness. As part of the original opening team of Spa Coquillade, she brings years of expertise rooted in phytotherapy and ancestral knowledge of the land.

Also contributing her expertise is Sonja Kuikstra, a naturopath, hydrotherapist, and author of multiple health books. Having overcome an autoimmune disease, Kuikstra channels her personal journey into guiding others with compassion and clarity. She helps participants align their diet and lifestyle to restore harmony to the autonomic nervous system and cultivate long-term wellbeing.

Set amid Coquillade’s sunlit vineyards and lavender-swept hills, the retreat draws from the principles of epigenetics—movement, nourishment, rest, emotional balance, and connection—integrating ancient wisdom with modern longevity science. Guests are invited to slow down, realign, and restore themselves across three purposeful days of breathwork, sound therapy, forest bathing, energy healing, thermal rituals, and deeply nourishing cuisine.

Each moment is designed with intention, tuned to the natural frequencies of the land. Olive groves and ochre canyons become sacred spaces. Cold plunges reset the vagus nerve. Aromatic oils and local botanicals ground the senses. And silent stargazing replaces screen time.

The experience is anchored by Coquillade’s award-winning spa, the largest in the region. Spanning 6,500 square feet, Spa Coquillade offers a holistic haven featuring an indoor heated swimming pool, saunas, hammams, steam baths, and sensory showers. Guests can unwind in tranquil indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, take in the serenity of the Provençal gardens, or enjoy soothing herbal infusions in the calming tea lounge. Treatments are powered by premium skincare lines, including Tata Harper and Nescens, offering a luxurious, results-driven approach to wellness that aligns seamlessly with the retreat’s holistic philosophy.

Rates start from $3,800 single occupancy.

The resort features three restaurants, bars and lounges, multiple swimming pools, a cycling center offering Tour-de-France-inspired packages, and its own biodynamic vineyard, Domaine de la Coquillade.
