Marc Ronert, M.D., Ph.D., is a European board-certified plastic surgeon, scientist, and co-founder of Image Skincare, where he currently serves as CEO. With a background in aesthetic medicine and clinical research, he is widely recognized for his holistic approach to aging, integrating science-backed skincare, intelligent nutrition, daily rituals, and mental wellness.

Ronert also founded Hush & Hush, a luxury nutraceutical brand, and is the author of Age Later, a modern framework for longevity and wellbeing. Wanting to give back, he founded the Care for Skin Foundation, a nonprofit providing reconstructive surgeries to individuals affected by trauma and congenital skin conditions. Ronert earned his medical degree from Heinrich-Heine University in Dusseldorf, Germany, and is licensed to practice medicine in the European Union. Here, he shares the wellness advice he lives by in his daily life.

What are your favorite things to do to maintain your personal wellbeing?

I focus on consistency across a few key areas, skincare, nutrition and fitness. Taking care of my skin is part of my daily routine, especially using a skincare routine and SPF to support long-term skin health. I also prioritize eating vegetarian, clean, nutrient-dense foods that fuel my body. Fitness is another cornerstone for me; I work with a personal trainer to stay accountable and maintain strength and mobility. Together, these habits help me feel energized, focused, and balanced both personally and professionally.

Is there a specific fitness activity that you love and why?

I enjoy working with a personal trainer to maintain strength, mobility and overall conditioning, which is important for long-term health. Tennis is another favorite, because it combines fitness with strategy and focus. It’s a great workout while also being incredibly engaging mentally and fun.

What is your favorite healthy beverage (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), and do you have any insider tips for preparing it?

One of my favorite healthy beverages is a simple cup of hot water with freshly grated ginger and lemon. Ginger has long been known for its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, and it’s a great way to support overall wellness. I like to lightly grate fresh ginger, and let it steep in hot tea for a few minutes to fully release its flavor and benefits.

What is your greatest wellness achievement?

Building a company centered around skin health and confidence has been incredibly rewarding. Helping professionals around the world support their clients’ skincare results to Age Later is something I’m very proud of.

What person in wellness do you most admire and why?

I deeply admire my wife, Janna Ronert, who is also an esthetician and founder of Image. Her dedication to wellness, both personally and professionally, inspires me every day. She approaches health, skincare, and life with intention and balance, and her involvement at Image Skincare continues to elevate the brand while setting a standard for mindful living.

What is the best piece of wellness advice you have ever received and from whom?

I am actually drawing my main wellness advice from my medical educational background. A lot of things beneficial for your body are actually founded on sound scientific data that I was exposed to during medical school. Instead of just taking it in for the next exam, I am living by or trying to live by some of the common main longevity drivers: don’t smoke, keep alcohol to an absolute minimum, exercise regularly, control and reduce stress, and get a good night’s rest. Simple, but effective.

What do you think is the most exciting wellness innovation you have recently discovered?

One of the most exciting innovations I’m seeing right now is our proprietary XOSM Technology. It represents a new frontier in how we deliver active ingredients to the skin, helping them penetrate more efficiently and work more intelligently. Advances like this allow us to maximize the performance of proven ingredients while supporting the skin’s natural processes. We’re proud to incorporate this technology into several of our formulas at Image Skincare, including our Daily Prevention, Vol.U.Lift, and Ageless+ retinol collections, where it helps elevate both efficacy and overall skin wellness.

What is your idea of balanced healthy happiness?

Balance comes from being intentional, taking care of your body, pursuing meaningful work, and spending time with the people who matter most.

Do you have a secret health or wellness tip you would like to share?

One of my biggest wellness philosophies is that healthy skin and overall wellbeing start from within. Prioritizing proper nutrition, hydration, and regular exercise lays the foundation for long-term health. From there, consistency with a simple skincare routine can make a significant difference in maintaining healthy, resilient skin. At Image Skincare, our philosophy is the core four: cleanse, treat, protect and repair, four essential steps that make up your foundation for healthy skin.

What is your favorite place for a healthy vacation or escape?

I love Italy! Besides the Mediterranean diet, you naturally walk and move more in Europe, with added benefits built right into your daily routines.

What is your favorite self-care routine?

My self-care routine is all about keeping it simple while using products that deliver real results. I start with the Ormedic Balancing Facial Cleanserto cleanse and balance my skin, followed by Vital C Hydrating Water Burst mixed into Daily Prevention Sheer Matte Moisturizer SPF 30for sun protection. At night, after cleansing, I use the Vital C Hydrating A C E Serum and theVital C Hydrating Overnight Masqueto nourish and restore my skin while I sleep.
