Longtime wellness industry veterans Julie Keller Callaghan and Heather Mikesell, co-founders of Well Defined, have announced the 2022 Well Defined Women in Leadership Summit. This inspiring event will take place March 1, 2022, in Tustin, CA.

This powerful day-long summit invites women from all walks of the wellness world to partake in education, networking, experiential services, and more.

Prominent speakers will focus on topics including empathetic leadership, financial wellness, mental wellness, burnout, mentorship, and career advancement strategies. The day will also feature a networking lunch, experiential offerings, and a celebratory closing cocktail party.

“Supporting women in our industry has always been a passion of ours. Now more than ever, it is an important time to support our sisters in wellness and provide them with tools and strategies to lead and to thrive personally and professionally,” says Keller Callaghan. “The pandemic has had a huge negative impact on women, both at work and at home. We plan to create a day that will inspire and motivate women and help them as they navigate these trying times while working to forward their careers and entrepreneurial aspirations and create a work-life balance that helps them thrive.”

The summit will be inclusive of women from every aspect of wellness and will include:

  • Spa owners, directors, executives, estheticians, cosmetologists, and massage therapists
  • Salon owners, directors, and stylists
  • Wellness brand founders and team members
  • Corporate wellness administrators and human resource directors
  • Nutrition, health, and wellness coaches
  • Functional and integrative medicine professionals
  • Wellness travel agents and wellness tourism experts
  • Event planners
  • Fitness facility owners, managers, instructors, and more
  • Wellness real estate executives and team members
  • Wellness publicists and marketing and communications specialists
  • And more

“For so many, wellness feels like an unattainable goal,” says Mikesell “We want to make it more accessible and inclusive of all women. There is so much we can learn from each other and from various cultures throughout the world. In our fast-paced and constantly connected society, it’s easy to lose sight of what it means to live a healthy, balanced, and joyful life. This summit is an opportunity to define wellness on our own terms and reconnect with what’s truly important to our wellbeing.”

Keller Callaghan and Mikesell have a long history of supporting women in wellness. During their tenure at American Spa, they launched the prestigious Women in Wellness Awards, as well as the American Spa Women in Wellness Leadership Conferences. They also received an ISPA Innovate Award in 2018 for their work with women in leadership. Keller Callaghan is also the chair of the Global Wellness Institute’s Women in Leadership Initiative and the founder of an active Women in Wellness Facebook group.

The W/D WIL Summit will take place March 1, 2022, at the Live Love Spa headquarters in Tustin, CA. Tickets start at $325 and include access to powerful speakers, networking, a lunch, experiential services, a cocktail party, and a gift bag. For out-of-town attendees, Well Defined has secured a room rate of $109 per night at the nearby Doubletree By Hilton Hotel Santa Ana. Learn more at www.welldefined.com/women.
