Garden of the Gods Resort and Club (Colorado Springs, CO), a popular wellness destination, recently completed an extensive renovation involving renewed rooms, reimagined dining experiences, expanded amenities, and more.

Updated to emphasize the feelings of enrichment, wellness, discovery, and relaxation that the property’s unique location and scenic views evoke, Garden of the Gods Resort and Club relied on the expertise of Johnson David Interiors and Marsh & Associates Inc., to provide the new design direction, conceptualize, and execute the revamp.

“These renovations and enhancements are the culmination of nearly a decade of investments made to the property and the people at Garden of the Gods Resort and Club,” says James Gibson, president and CEO of Garden of the Gods Resort and Club. “Both are crucial elements in the success of our business and our ability to deliver the highest caliber of service and luxury experiences.”

Upon arrival, guests and members will notice the revitalized energy surrounding the property. From the grounding feel of the new cobblestone drive to the visually stunning landscaping to the tranquil sound of the trickling water feature to the smell of crisp mountain air and the refreshing taste of the welcome elixir, all five senses are activated.

Each of the spacious lodge rooms and suites come with views of the Garden of the Gods and the Rocky Mountains, and now, guests will enjoy all new furnishings, bedding, and decor. Color serves as an essential purpose in the property’s private retreats, bringing a sense of serenity and escape to the space. The carefully selected shades used in the rooms, which include soft greys, warm taupe, neutral browns, bronze, and accents of light blues and greens, are meant to encourage feelings of healing, a slower pace, and peace. Additionally, the fireplaces in each room, which provide visual and physical warmth to the space, have been reclad with a 3-D textural limestone for a timeless, rustic vibe. Guests will also love the reimagined bathrooms, which have nearly doubled in size and now include oversized showers, full-size soaking tubs, and modern vanities for an ultra-luxury, spa-like setting.

In the main building, guests are welcomed by a refreshed reception area, new furnishings in the members-only The Rocks Lounge, and a revamped Grand View Restaurant, which has long served as a popular dining destination with unparalleled views of the brilliantly colored Garden of the Gods rock formations. Now transformed, the restaurant embodies everyday elegance with chic, contemporary design elements that work in harmony with mineral artistry just outside of the floor-to-ceiling windows. Oak wood flooring; the use of organic materials such as stone, leather, and copper; and twinkling chandeliers are just some of the stylish new features. One of the most exciting additions to the space is the onyx bar. Imported from Turkey, its illuminated stone provides an ambient glow—the perfect setting for enjoying a craft cocktail, mocktail, or good conversation.

Other elements of the renovation include the addition of firepits to the patio area of The Rocks Lounge, the addition of three new tennis courts, six pickleball courts, an updated reception area, and salon at Strata and more.

“Really what we’re doing is continuing to build our legacy,” says co-owner Brenda Smith. “This place has always been a beloved escape from reality where relaxation and revitalization are possible. Now, we’re pleased to introduce a refreshed version of Rocky Mountain paradise that will delight generations to come.”
