What does wellness mean to you?
Wellness, to me, is about overall wellbeing—physically, mentally, and emotionally. It’s finding ways to manage stress, staying consistent with movement, and being intentional about taking care of yourself. It’s not just about workouts or nutrition, but about creating a lifestyle that supports both your body and your mind in a sustainable way.
What are your favorite things to do to maintain your personal wellbeing?
I rely on a few core habits that keep me grounded—a regular yoga practice, daily walks with my dog, and meal-prepping every weekend. Yoga helps me reset mentally and physically, my walks give me fresh air and perspective, and meal prep keeps me consistent and energized throughout the week.
Is there a specific fitness activity that you love and why?
I love CorePower Yoga. It completely takes me out of my head, because it’s so physically challenging and mentally engaging. It forces you to be present, which is something I really value. It’s like moving meditation under pressure.
What is your favorite healthy food, and do you have a favorite way of preparing it?
I rely a lot on chicken breast. It’s simple, versatile, and a great source of lean protein. My favorite way to prepare it is on the grill. It’s quick, flavorful, and easy to pair with different sides depending on the week.
What is your favorite healthy beverage, and do you have any insider tips for preparing it?
I love fresh-squeezed juices. There’s nothing better than something simple and natural. My tip would be to keep it balanced—combine fruits with greens or citrus so it’s not overly sweet, and always use fresh ingredients for the best flavor and nutrients.
What is your greatest wellness achievement?
Staying committed to yoga five days a week, no matter what, is something I’m really proud of. I’ve also challenged myself physically by completing multiple races, including Spartan and Tough Mudder events, which pushed me outside my comfort zone in the best way.
What person in wellness do you most admire and why?
I really admire instructors and coaches who emphasize consistency and mindset over perfection. The ones who remind you that wellness isn’t about extremes, but about showing up for yourself every day in a realistic, sustainable way.
What is the best piece of wellness advice you have ever received and from whom?
The best advice I’ve received is to listen to your body. Not every day needs to be your hardest workout. Sometimes rest is exactly what you need. That mindset shift has made my routine much more sustainable.
What do you think is the most exciting wellness innovation you have recently discovered?
I think the growing focus on recovery, things like mobility work, infrared saunas, and intentional rest, is really exciting. It’s shifting the conversation from just pushing harder to actually taking care of your body long-term.
What is your idea of balanced healthy happiness?
Balanced happiness is about respecting your body’s needs. Some days that means pushing yourself through a tough workout, and other days it means slowing down and doing nothing at all. It’s about tuning in and not feeling guilty either way.
What do you think is the most overused word in wellness?
Protein. It’s important, but it’s definitely overemphasized to the point where it overshadows other equally important aspects of nutrition and overall wellness.
Do you have a secret health or wellness tip you would like to share?
Consistency beats intensity every time. You don’t need to do everything perfectly. You just need to show up regularly.
What is your favorite place for a healthy vacation or escape?
Anywhere in the mountains. Being surrounded by nature, fresh air, and quiet is the perfect reset for both my body and mind.
Is there a particular wellness company or brand that truly impresses you and why?
I’m really drawn to brands that focus on community and accessibility, ones that make wellness feel inclusive and sustainable rather than intimidating or exclusive.
What is your favorite self-care routine?
A good self-care routine for me is a yoga session followed by a shower, a simple meal, and unplugging for the night. It doesn’t have to be complicated. It just has to help me reset.
What is your go-to for de-stressing?
Yoga and a little bit of Love Island is the perfect balance of grounding and switching off my brain.
What aspect of your wellbeing do you struggle with the most?
I sometimes let the highs and lows of business affect me more than they should. Staying emotionally balanced and not tying everything to outcomes is something I’m constantly working on.
What wellness-related books or authors do you recommend, and why?
I gravitate toward books that focus on mindset and habit-building—anything that reinforces consistency, discipline, and self-awareness over quick fixes.
How do you celebrate small victories?
I take a moment to actually acknowledge them, whether that’s treating myself to something small, taking a break, or just reflecting on the progress I’ve made.
What brings you joy?
My family and my dog. They keep me grounded and remind me what really matters.
