What does wellness mean to you?
Wellness, to me, is a state of inner alignment. It is not about constant optimization or perfection, but about being in tune with yourself. There are phases where we need energy, movement, and strength and others where we need stillness, softness, and retreat. True wellbeing begins when we learn to recognize these needs and allow ourselves to respond to them with awareness.
What are your favorite things to do to maintain your personal wellbeing?
I always come back to the essentials. Time in nature, especially in the forest, has a very grounding effect on me. I combine that with mindful movement, such as running or gentle strength training, and small daily rituals that create moments of calm. It is less about intensity and more about continuity and presence.
Is there a specific fitness activity that you love and why?
I am very drawn to movement that combines control and flow. Pilates, particularly on the Reformer, creates this beautiful connection between strength, stability, and awareness. It is a practice that challenges the body while at the same time calming the mind. That balance is very important to me.
What is your favorite healthy food, and do you have a favorite way of preparing it?
I prefer food that feels natural and honest. Seasonal vegetables, gently prepared, often combined with warm, nourishing elements—something that supports the body rather than overwhelms it. I believe that food should feel grounding and intuitive, not restrictive.
What is your favorite healthy beverage (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)?
In the evening, I love calming herbal infusions. Ingredients like lavender, chamomile, or alpine herbs help me slow down and transition into a restful state. It’s a simple ritual, but it creates a clear shift from activity to recovery.
What is your greatest wellness achievement?
For me, it is the ability to listen. To understand when to step forward and when to pause. In a world that often encourages constant activity, learning to respect your own rhythm is something very valuable and something I continue to refine.
What do you think is the most exciting wellness innovation you have recently discovered?
What excites me most is the connection between modern diagnostics and natural wellbeing. At waldSPA Health, we combine both, creating a space where guests gain a deeper understanding of their bodies while being supported by the calming environment of nature. This shift toward personalized, preventive well-being feels very meaningful.
What is your idea of balanced healthy happiness?
It is a quiet kind of happiness. A feeling of being centered, clear, and at ease. Not driven by external factors but coming from within. It allows you to move through your day with both energy and calm. And this is very important, especially in my daily life with my two kids and the business.
What do you think is the most overused word in wellness?
Probably “balance,” because it is often presented as something fixed. In reality, balance is something fluid. It changes constantly, and learning to move with it is what truly matters.
Do you have a secret health or wellness tip you would like to share?
Less input, more awareness. We often look for solutions outside ourselves, but the most important signals come from within. Taking a moment to pause and truly listen can be more powerful than any routine.
What is your favorite place for a healthy vacation or escape?
Nature, always. The mountains, the forest, places where you feel space and silence. You don’t need much, just an environment that allows you to breathe more deeply and reconnect.
What is your favorite self-care routine?
A calm evening ritual is very important to me. Reducing external stimuli, creating a quiet atmosphere, perhaps with reading a book and a cup of tea. Sleep is one of the most powerful forms of regeneration, and I try to consciously prepare for it.
What is your go-to for de-stressing?
Stepping outside. Even a short walk in nature can completely shift your perspective. The combination of movement, fresh air, and natural surroundings has an immediate effect.
What aspect of your wellbeing do you struggle with the most?
Creating enough space for stillness in a dynamic daily routine. When your role is to create wellbeing for others, it requires conscious effort to maintain that same level of care for yourself.
How do you celebrate small victories?
By acknowledging them quietly. Taking a moment to recognize progress, rather than immediately moving on. It creates a sense of appreciation and grounding.
What brings you joy?
Simple, present moments. A conversation, a walk with my kids, a feeling of connection. In my opinion, joy often comes when we are fully in the moment, without distraction.
