Belmond recently debuted a partnership with Dior for a new wellbeing experience in the legendary gardens of Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, Portofino and at Bagni Fiore, one of the most exclusive beaches on the Italian Riviera. From now until September 30, the hotel’s serene gardens overlooking the bay will be home to two Dior spa gazebos, offering the brand’s signature skincare treatments. Dior has also transformed two decks of the exclusive Bagni Fiore beach club with Dior’s distinct Toile de Jouy pattern and opened a one-of-a-kind concept store with a limited-edition of the Escale à Portofino perfume, entitled Splendido Edition.
Named Jardin des Rêves Dior (Garden of Dreams), the pop-up spa reflects Splendido’s verdant flower gardens and natural beauty. Guests can enjoy a menu of signature face and body treatments that draw on the skills and expertise associated with Dior skincare, including a new Dior Bronze Signature Massage, which focuses on boosting radiance and glow while repairing the skin from the effects of the Italian sunshine.
Taking inspiration from the foliage enveloping the pop-up spa, Maria Grazia Chiuri, creative director of Dior women’s collections, has reimagined the House’s iconic Toile de Jouy fabric into a vibrant leaf-green to decorate the gazebos. After treatments, guests can kick back in a designated relaxation area overlooking the bay, take a refreshing dip in Splendido’s swimming pool, or enjoy a lazy lunch at the wisteria-laden terrace restaurant, La Terrazza.
Dior also heads to Bagni Fiore, one of Bay of Paraggi’s most beautiful and exclusive beaches, with a second pop-up spa, featuring signature massage therapies and a reimagined lounge area transformed with the vibrant nature-green Toile de Juoy print. For the summer season, Splendido residents enjoy exclusive access to this peaceful paradise, cherished for its uninterrupted views of crystal-clear, tranquil waters.
Dior’s new concept store in Paraggi showcases women’s summer creations designed by Chiuri, including the Dioriviera capsule, as well as pieces from the men’s wardrobe by Kim Jones, artistic director of Dior men’s collections. The store, featuring ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, and seasonal accessories, such as sunglasses, is carefully crafted to celebrate Dior design fundamentals while also embracing Ligurian history. Walls are covered in textured monochrome toile de Jouy wallpaper complemented with interior accents of wood, cane, sisal, and brass. Seating was designed by a local craftsman inspired by the iconic traditional chiavarina chair created in 1807, a wooden chair of Ligurian design.
A restored 16th-century former monastery, Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, Portofino, is the epitome of Italian glamour having attracted stars of the stage and screen over the years. The glamorous pink façade welcomes guests with a heated saltwater infinity swimming pool, dishes featuring the freshest local seafood and traditional Ligurian cooking, and spacious pastel-hued guest rooms furnished in mid-century style.
