One-time-only tennis clinic, in partnership with the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, offers specialty tennis programs, behind-the-scenes access, and more

Luxury wellness retreat Sensei Porcupine Creek has announced a one-time-only, exclusive three-night tennis program for guests taking place April 25 to 28, in partnership with the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. The program will be led by former professional tennis player Tommy Haas, who competed on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour for more than 20 years and earned 15 titles throughout his successful career, including reaching a World No. 2 ranking. Guests will partake in a blend of Sensei’s existing wellness and tennis offerings, paired with specialty experiences available exclusively to guests of this program, complete with court time with Haas and team, including Sensei’s onsite tennis pro, Caroline Vis, herself a successful former pro and Wimbledon semi-finalist; exclusive access behind the scenes at the renowned Indian Wells Tennis Garden. It is home to the BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament and provides a chance to play where the pros play in the 16,100-seat Stadium 1.

“For the first time ever, Sensei Porcupine Creek’s formerly private professional-grade tennis facilities are now open to guests, offering unique tennis experiences for all levels of play,” says Julie Oliff, general manager at Sensei Porcupine Creek. “We’re thrilled to offer this program that goes far beyond a typical tennis clinic, to help guests refine their skills through the help of best-in-class professionals such as Tommy Haas and our own Caroline Vis.”

Package rates begin at $12,620 per guest for accommodations in the Estate House, or for those looking for a built-in doubles group or an active couple’s getaway, two-bedroom villas start at $14,250 per guest and four-bedroom villas start at $13,315 per guest.

The Tommy Haas Tennis Program includes the following experiences:

  • Luxury accommodations for three nights
  • Welcome reception with Tommy Haas and group orientation session that focuses on goals and intentions
  • Behind-the-scenes experience and tour at Indian Wells Tennis Garden and Stadium 1 play time
  • Guided warm up with Tommy Haas and team
  • Five hours of drill practices and rotating doubles matches with Tommy Haas and team
  • Personalized wellness consultations with a Sensei Guide, focused on fitness, mindfulness, meditation, yoga, or nutrition
  • Group classes including open-sky meditation and wall yoga
  • Select dining experiences including daily breakfast, welcome reception, farewell Omakase-style dinner, and lunch at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

Beyond the April program, those wishing to perfect their game at Sensei Porcupine Creek can opt for the data-rich and structured Tennis Optimal Wellbeing Program (perfect for players at Level 3.0 and above), book a 1:1 lesson with Sensei’s onsite former pro-player Caroline Vis, or play on two hard courts during Sensei’s small group classes.

“This program provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for tennis fans to immerse themselves in the sport at world-class facilities that they otherwise wouldn’t have access to, with like-minded participants,” says Haas, “I’m excited to show guests the amazing tennis offerings in the desert, like Sensei Porcupine Creek and the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, while getting to help them improve their game and enjoy some court time.”
