The Well, a popular wellness brand, recently teamed up with Terra, a Miami real estate developer, to launch its first integrated wellness residences with an office concept and a holistic wellness center. The Well Bay Harbor Islands is scheduled to debut in December 2024 in Miami’s exclusive Bay Harbor Islands neighborhood, located west of the popular Bal Harbor Shops. Bringing together Eastern and Western healing practices, The Well Bay Harbor Islands will support a holistic wellness lifestyle.

The six-story, 250,000-square-foot mixed-use development is expected to reinvigorate the Kane Concourse thoroughfare with 54-branded luxury residences, a 13,000-square-foot state-of-the-art wellness and fitness center in the residential building, 98,420-square-feet of office space, an on-site restaurant, and two rooftop decks with a pool and modern lounge space, exclusively for use by residents and members of The Well. For locals who live in the neighboring areas of Miami, monthly membership will be available to experience The Well treatments, daily movement classes, and amenities at the wellness and fitness center in addition to the rooftop pool.

“With the attention to our health being greater than ever, we wanted to create a one-stop shop for wellness where people can fully immerse themselves in wellness,” says Kane Sarhan, co-founder and chief creative officer of The Well. “We’re excited to expand into the wellness residential market and help people make wellness part of their every day.”

Restorative Residences

Featuring contemporary waterfront condominiums ranging from 924 to 3,291 square feet, The Well Bay Harbor Islands provides thoughtful touchpoints and luxe amenities that incorporate the latest technology to engage all the senses. The building itself features diffused lighting, water filtration, HEPA air filtrations systems, low VOC paints, and organic all-natural scent infused throughout the space. There are also energetically charged crystals located in the foundation of the building. Residents may also choose to have their residences cleansed by a practitioner of The Well prior to moving in.

Situated along the canals of Bay Harbor Islands, the residences will range from one- to four-bedrooms and are priced from $1.3 million. They’ll come with spacious living rooms with UV light-protectant windows that filter harmful UV rays. State-of-the-art sound proofing also helps ensure a restful night’s sleep. The bedrooms will have individualized temperature zones for optimized sleep and aromatherapy diffusers with calming scents selected by The Well’s expert practitioners.

Sleek kitchens with a Zip HydroTap Arc water dispenser offering hot, cold, and carbonated water options and a built-in Vitamix encourage healthy, at-home cooking. There will also be custom millwork to house supplements, a built-in vegetable drawer, an herb garden, and an ergonomic dishwasher.

The residences will also come with a Zen meditation nook with yoga mats, meditation cushions, and an optional roll-out connected device closet to hide a Mirror or Peloton when it’s not in use. The idea of self-care will be evident in the main bathroom, which will feature a whirlpool tub and Dornbracht’s lymph spa waterfall shower with a heated stone bench, spine jets for intense regeneration, and bench jets to relieve calf-muscle tension. Full-body red-light therapy will be built around the vanity to help minimize wrinkles and provide pain relief.

Outside, residents will be able to take advantage of cabanas by the rooftop pool, which uses less chlorine to help minimize toxins. A tranquil tea lounge, a private boardroom, and a private gym will also be available for use by residents.

Wellness & Fitness Center

Residents, members, and office tenants will certainly benefit from the state-of-the-art wellness and fitness center, which will feature Miami’s first caldarium, The Bath House. The journey will begin at The Well Robe Bar, where they’ll select a robe, a headband of choice, aloe soap, and flaxseed mitt before taking a seat on the caldarium’s heated stone benches with a kombucha in hand. The Saunarium, The Halotherapy Steam Room, and The Infrared and Sound Dome are other highlights.

A host of treatments will be available in the treatment area, such as lymph drainage massage and customized facials. The Fitness Movement Space and Mindful Movement Studio will also offer a schedule of fitness classes and meditative sessions, including Pilates, meditation, and yoga.

Design Highlights

Design firm Meyer Davis is incorporating intuitive biophilic design features inspired by the water, sun, and sand. The Well Bay Harbor Islands will showcase curvilinear forms in the walls and walkways to promote energy flow, and tranquil water features will create calming sound effects. Earthy tones will be found throughout with the use of warm wood beams, tumbled stone flooring, and chukum columns.

Workplace Wellness

The luxury office space is where people will truly work well. There is even an outdoor work experience in which tenants have access to greenhouse-style work pods as well as a rooftop with outdoor meeting areas and community gardens. Showers are also available on the rooftop for use after workout sessions in addition to The Well Locker, which is equipped with the latest wellness technology and gadgets, including complimentary Theraguns, red-light facial masks and more.

Luxury Wellness Amenities & Services

Residents will be able to enjoy a variety of luxury services, including a dedicated concierge, both in-person and via text platform, organic toxic-free home cleaning service, and local Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) services for fresh and organic produce. A calendar of specially curated on-site events and lectures, a weekly fresh juice program and prepared meals for families, private classes, complimentary memberships to The Well Bay Harbor Islands, annual health coaching sessions, and exclusive perks at all The Well locations.

“We’re thrilled to partner with The Well on what will be an exceptional landmark development for the Bay Harbor Islands community,” says David Martin, CEO of Terra. “The Well Bay Harbor Islands will meet growing demand for luxury living and boutique commercial space as more residents and companies gravitate to South Florida, while reviving Bay Harbor Islands’ popular Kane Concourse main street. Terra has a long track-record of enhancing communities across South Florida, and we’re delighted to do the same for the village of Bay Harbor Islands.”
