Tschuggen Hotel Group has unveiled a new wellness initiative, Moving Mountains, which is being rolled out at four of its properties across Switzerland. The new lifestyle program will help travelers reconnect with and celebrate nature at Hotel Eden Roc in Ascona, the Carlton Hotel St. Moritz, and the Tschuggen Grand Hotel and Valsana Hotel in Arosa.

Moving Mountains was created by Gotz Bechtolsheimer, Ph.D., one of the owners of Tschuggen Hotel Group. The program is based on five pillars—Move, Play, Nourish, Rest, and Give—that together form a set of holistic experiences to deliver a truly rejuvenating getaway. Guests may also customize their stay at any of the four properties around one or more of the pillars. Here are some of the offerings available under the various pillars:

Move:

The hotel group has partnered with experts Matt Gleed and Alida O’Connor to develop new functional fitness and yoga offerings. Available onsite at each property, a team of trained professionals is on-hand to guide guests in a host of activities, such as hiking, cycling, climbing, skiing, and yoga.

Play:

Each hotel features ever-changing Curated Adventures and Empowering Expeditions for guests to dive into the local culture and experience some pure joy. Visitors are invited to challenge themselves physically with sunrise hikes and kayaking expeditions, master a new skill such as pottery, and discover local producers and artisans.

Nourish:

In collaboration with nutritionist Rhaya Jordan, Tschuggen Hotel Group’s Michelin-starred chefs have created new plant-based menus to be offered at each hotel. The menus are made up of healthy dishes made of whole, fresh, and seasonal produce and prepared with local nutrient-rich ingredients.

Rest:

The group has also worked with Hofklinik, a leading sleep center in Switzerland, to develop a series of optimal sleep experiences. Guests can prepare for a relaxing night with in-room yoga, wellness treatments using organic products and the new Dream Butler Experience, which includes a calming footbath and massage, aromatherapy, special pillow offerings, and an exclusive in-room dining menu with dishes using ingredients known to encourage rest and relaxation.

Give:

Supporting a number of local initiatives, Tschuggen Hotel Group instituted changes to become the only climate-neutral Swiss premium hotel group. It also supports artists in Ascona and the ski club in Arosa. Guests can also give back by compensating for their travels to and from the hotels through a partnership with myclimate.

The Moving Mountains program is designed to help travelers enjoy and appreciate the great outdoors. Switzerland certainly provides the ideal setting to reconnect with nature.
