Ashley Patten’s 10-Minute Posture Strengthening Workout

Ashley Patten Pilates was born out of founder Ashley Patten’s passion for movement. Ashley started her career as a dancer. From dancing to yoga and other movement practices, Ashley always came back to pilates as a way to supplement her training and heal injuries. She began to teach pilates, and after notable teaching and certifications, is excited to be launching her discipline and share it with the world.

Nearly 14 years since she began teaching pilates, Ashley’s mission is the same – to move and live consciously and help others to do the same. Whether it’s in-person privates at her studio in the Hamptons, virtually via her on-demand platform, or during a live class, Ashley Patten Pilates’ philosophy reflects the authentic principles of pilates to strengthen and stretch from the inside out. No muscle goes untrained, meaning you’ll see and feel big, balanced results both physically and mentally. Her extensive experience in pre/postnatal injuries and anatomy paired with her knowledge of modern-day biomechanics and functional movement gives her a uniquely intimate and perceptive teaching approach.

Ashley’s certifications include a 600-hour Comprehensive Pilates Training at Power Pilates NYC (2009), 200-hour Yoga Training with Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman Yee (2013), Functional Anatomy for Movement and Injuries from the Icahn School of Medicine (2015), Meditation Training at the Nalanda Institute (2016), and Pilates Method Alliance Certification CPT (2017).

Here, she leads a quick 10-minute workout with light weights that focuses on strengthening the postural muscles to encourage better posture.
