The Little Nell (Aspen, CO) luxury hotel recently debuted The Spa at The Little Nell. Set at the base of Aspen Mountain, it’s not only a haven for relaxation but also Aspen’s only ski-in/ski-out spa, offering a unique and convenient experience for winter sports enthusiasts. Designed by the acclaimed Luis Bustamante Interior Design of Madrid, Spain, The Spa is a stunning addition to Aspen’s wellness landscape.

“We are thrilled to introduce The Spa at The Little Nell, a harmonious blend of luxury and wellness, in an artful and intimate setting,” says general manager Henning Rahm,. “It truly stands apart from other spas with the focus on traditional and holistic treatments and cutting-edge technologies.”

Inspired by Walter Paepcke, a founding father of modern-day Aspen, The Spa embodies the idea of caring for the mind, body, and spirit. Designed to provide guests with both performance enhancement and rejuvenation, the spa menu comprises three distinct therapeutic pathways—Recover + Repair, Replenish + Restore, and Reset + Rebalance—all tailored to suit individual needs.

A variety of integrated rituals, bodywork, and skincare solutions featured on the spa menu are in partnership with premier experts such as aesthetics and anti-inflammatory pioneer Dr. Barbara Sturm; Colorado-based, organic skincare line ISUN; and all-natural skincare brand Seed to Skin Tuscany, whose organic line of in-room bath products will also be in all suites and hotel rooms at The Little Nell.

The Spa at The Little Nell comprises three treatment suites, each equipped with a private changing room and steam shower. Two of the suites boast a hybrid infrared sauna with halotherapy and a dedicated resting area while one is equipped with dual treatment tables. A separate guest changing area with a restroom, vanity, and steam shower is also available.

Situated next to The Spa is a new fitness center with cardio and strength equipment including Woodway treadmills, Peloton cycles, Technogym weight machines, a functional training station from TRX, and ample space for free movement and self-directed workouts. Trainers will be on call and available for private bookings upon request.

Bustamante’s imprint can be found throughout the property from his previous work designing the hotel’s living room and lobby, as well as the ASPENX Mountain Club. The Spa renovation also encompasses a foyer, speakeasy, and restrooms.

“Inspired by the design ethos found in the lobby, our approach involves ordered, symmetrical spaces characterized by extensive millwork,” says Julian Castillo with Luis Bustamante Interior Design. “The idea is that each space is related in its language to the rest, but also has its own personality, creating a sequence through different moods.”
