Lake Austin Spa Resort has announced the appointment of JoAnn Lenhardt as general manager of the 40-room award-winning destination spa in Austin, TX. Lenhardt brings more than 20 years of experience as an operations professional to the role.
As GM, Lenhardt will oversee all aspects of resort operations as well as the 25,000-square-foot LakeHouse Spa.
She brings a passion for innovation and a track record of bringing tenacious new ideas to the table while also creating an environment of mutual respect and trust between her and her team members.
Lenhardt has been recognized in Women Who Mean Business by West Hawaii Today and Women on the Rise in 2018. She has served on committees, including the Marriott Beverage Council and Fairmont Beverage Council. She has also received multiple Leader Off The Quarter Awards and Chair of both the Restaurant Council and Culinary Talent Council, and she attended Thomas Nelson Community College and was Green Belt Certified through the Graduate Emerging Leader program.
Lenhardt also brings extensive experience across all facets of hotel operations from sales to front desk and food and beverage concepts. Most recently, she served as director of operations at the Fairmont Mission Inn & Spa with Accor Hotels. Prior to that, she worked with Marriott International for 14 years. As both the director of operations and general manager, she was responsible for transitioning the Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa to Marriott systems, protocols, and culture.
