What does wellness mean to you?
For me, wellness is about taking holistic care of yourself—and actually enjoying it. That means eating nourishing food, moving your body in ways that feel good, sleeping well, cultivating a curious and loving mindset, and surrounding yourself with people who make you feel grounded and inspired.
What are your favorite things to do to maintain your personal wellbeing?
I feel most like myself when I’m moving, cooking, traveling, or having thoughtful conversations. Anything that sparks wonder or reminds me how abundant the world is—that’s wellness to me.
Is there a specific fitness activity that you love and why?
Hiking, hands down. It’s my favorite way to move my body and reconnect with nature. Plus, I get to bring my dog, Bam Bam. There’s something incredibly healing about being outside, getting a little sweaty, and seeing the world from a new vantage point. Nature always delivers.
What is your favorite healthy beverage (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), and do you have any insider tips for preparing it?
Besides water? Kombucha. I make it at home, and my little hack is this: if you don’t have a SCOBY, just buy a bottle of kombucha that still has a bit of the mother in it—use that as your starter, and it’ll grow! It’s surprisingly easy and super satisfying.
Do you have a secret health or wellness tip you would like to share?
Do one difficult thing each year—something that really pushes you out of your comfort zone. Whether it’s physical, emotional, or mental, I’ve found that kind of challenge can be revitalizing. Your body might feel pushed to its limits, but that’s often where the real growth happens. It resets your perspective in the best way.
What is your favorite place for a healthy vacation or escape?
Anywhere outdoors. I love trekking—it’s a great way to disconnect from the online world and see new parts of the planet. It also makes for the perfect excuse to travel internationally. Some of my favorite treks outside of the U.S. have been in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Peru.
What is your favorite self-care routine?
I really enjoy taking care of my skin. I have a pretty solid morning and evening skincare ritual, and I rarely wear makeup during the day. I like to say that healthy, glowing skin is the best makeup.
What is your go-to for de-stressing?
Taking my dog for a short walk—with no phone. It’s my reset button. Just being outside, present, and moving a little helps me clear my head.
What brings you joy?
Joy, to me, is a mindset—it’s all about perspective. I try to find it in my everyday life: cooking a good meal, being with family and friends, hanging out with my dog, or just spending time in nature. I know it’s cliché, but it really is about the little things in life.
