Avani Hotels & Resorts, the upscale lifestyle brand of Minor Hotels, recently launched AvaniWell, the brand’s first wellbeing clinic at Avani+ Hua Hin Resort in Thailand. Beyond the usual spa offerings, guests are invited to discover what wellbeing means to them with guidance from AvaniWell’s team of experts. From Thai traditional medicine and physiotherapy to reformer Pilates and healthy dining, AvaniWell provides wellness à la carte, designed to kick-start healthy habits through weekend resets, serene staycations, and weekly wellbeing programs.

Traditional Meets Modern

AvaniWell offers a personalized path to wellbeing through a choice of traditional and modern practices. Guests are invited to discover Thai traditional medicine (TTM), an ancient system of spiritual healing that uses astrology and numerology to identify and cure health conditions. AvaniWell’s resident TTM experts offer one-to-one assessments and prescribe signature treatments. These include Pao Ya Fire Rebalance to alleviate bloating by placing heated herbal bundles on the stomach and Chae Ya Power Bath, infused with medicinal herbs to relieve tension and cure skin irritations. There is a focus on Salt Pot Healing, the unsung hero of TTM, which releases tension throughout the body using hot salt compresses and aromatic oils. Guests can also experience traditional Middle Eastern wellbeing practices at the dedicated hammam with a choice of massage and cleanse, before sinking into deep relaxation on a heated marble bed.

Set against the pristine shores of Hua Hin, the clinic also offers coastal-inspired treatments such as the Salt Scrub Journey, Sand Compress, and Seashell Symphony Massage. In addition, confidence-boosting JetPro x Renewal Complex 4 facials, Elemis facials, and semi-invasive aesthetics promote wellbeing from the inside out. Other modern treatments include an extensive IV menu with NAD+ anti-aging, immune support, and hangover cure vitamin drips, with in-room and express 20-minute options for a seamless wellness top-off. AvaniWell’s team of experts are on hand to create personalized packages that combine both traditional and modern treatments to achieve optimal results, as well as offer top tips to help guests maintain wellbeing post-stay.

Wellness Your Way: A Lifestyle Approach

To boost the wellbeing program, AvaniWell’s team of physiotherapists help restore movement and function, combating office syndrome through massage therapy and movement techniques, while accredited Pilates instructors offer private reformer Pilates sessions to improve posture, flexibility, and alignment. Sessions are complemented by hospital-grade body composition scans to interpret body fat and muscle mass percentages for science-driven results.

The AvaniWell concept goes beyond its four walls with healthy menus that are designed to suit vegan, paleo, and gluten-free diets available at all five resort bars and restaurants. For a deep dive into diet and gut health, AvaniWell’s Vitality in the Kitchen workshops and Cleanse & Boost mixology classes are open to all ages, sparking healthy habits for little ones, as well as providing key takeaways to enhance daily routine. The Pantry, Avani’s grab-and-go dining concept, provides post-workout protein shakes, kombuchas, and smoothies for those hitting the AvaniFit gym or one of the resort’s two swimming pools.  “AvaniWell provides a stepping stone for those starting their wellness journey, taking the brand’s Millennial and Gen-Z audience from the familiarity of the spa to a more personalized and adventurous approach to wellbeing,” says Sandie Johannessen, Minor Hotels’ Group director of spa and wellness – Asia. “Whether guests come to us to rejuvenate, reset, or heal, they will find the perfect blend of treatments that can be tailored to help them achieve what wellbeing means to them.”
